Default Time Attack G35 - SOHO Motorsports

    SOHO Motorsports Time Attack G35

SOHO Motorsports Time Attack G35 -

SOHO Motorsports is a high end tuning shop based in Charlotte, NC specializing in the modification and tuning of sport compact vehicles with a niche in Infiniti and Nissan platforms. With years of experience in ever form of motorsport from NASCAR to NHRA, we have used our knowledge of what it takes to be successful on the racetrack and have translated that into every vehicle we build. Whether it is a simple install or a full race build, we hold our vehicles to a standard that is unmatched by any shop.

After opening in 2009 we chose to use one of our shop cars, Kevin Parlett's 2005 Infiniti G35, as a platform to build a car that would not only represent the SOHO Motorsports ideology of perfection and performance, but also create a car that can compere in any Time Attack series and win anywhere. We knew we would have to create a monster to get the car we imagined in our heads. After many long nights, when it was all said and done, we even surprised ourselves.. The end result is a Frankenstein Batmobile thats half Infiniti and half NASCAR.

    The Build -

Since we wanted to build the fastest Time Attack G35 on the planet we decided to retain the use of the base platform for the G35 especially the VQ35DE RevUp engine, which would provide the perfect power curve for time attack especially when we added some boost. Along with the fully built VQ we added a Momentum Performance GT35R Turbo kit to add more power and get us up to the 600hp / 600tq we wanted. Keeping all of the power planted we chose KW ClubSport coilovers and SPL suspension components to keep the car balanced at all times.

Carbon pressed Volk TE37 SL's wrapped in sticky 315' Toyo R888's keeps the car firmly on the ground, and with the help of a NASCAR kevlar front splitter and APR carbon fiber spoiler traction is never a problem. Not only is the engine, drivetrain and suspension all top quality and race ready, the interior and exterior of the car stripped and showroom quality thanks to custom body, fender and interior work from local NASCAR teams. The final accent in the interior is the Computech DataMaxx digital dash and data acquisition system feeding live data to the driver and crew at all times. The car was built to be the best and it truly fits the bill.

We finished 2011 chasing and fixing all of the bugs we had and did a pretty good amount of testing at multiple tracks, but we did not truly compete in 2011, only tested. 2012 we will be competing all over the place from NASA events to Global Time Attack events. Im actually in the process of scheduling as we speak.

Most recent race tune dyno graph of the SOHO / K Parlett Racing Time Attack G35 you've all been waiting for! (Fuel pump did go bad on this run, hence the squiggly line) Replacing the pump and going from 93 to 110 octane in 2012 and should be well over 600!

Lag!? there is very little lag if any, it hits quick and hard, in fact the ramp up you see on the boost is on purpose, we slowed down how quick it comes to prevent wheel spin, it was spinning on the dyno lol

Well, I noticed that you weren't reaching boost until about 3700rpm's and you didn't start to crown until around 4500. I do see that 200hp jump in about 1000 rpms. I bet that's fun to deal with.

Realized I haven't updated this in a while, we have put a new fuel system on the G. Upgrading to new filters, pumps, 1000cc injectors and few other goodies. Here is a pic of us getting the final corner balancing done with the new fuel cell.
