Bumping this up again.

Maybe the problem is the name of the website. As a complete newbie just looking for local forums, this is the closest one to resemble an all-makes-welcome environment that I'm looking for, but the name itself almost had me not joining since it basically precludes domestics. I could argue the point that my little Focus is technically a European import, but that's always a drawn-out and tiring battle. Regardless, you've probably got all the regular non-imports floating around on these niche sites cause they might feel out of place here... Mustangs, F-bodies, SRTs, etc. Hell, these days even the Euro crowd has tried to separate itself from the "import" moniker more than they used to.

Maybe the key to changing with the times in this case isn't just overhauling the website, but giving it a new name, too... one that's more all-inclusive. That's one outsider's view, anyway.

I dissagree, there are already plenty of "demestic" oriented sites locally as there is. Its a nice change to go to an "import" dominated site once in a whlie

Domestic dominated sites are pretty ignorant, if he rolls on to HPJ with that car he will get laughed at and made fun of just like anyone with a cobalt or a str4 neon. They view them as not belonging. Honestly after going to dragging rights i agree, these are not people with 13 second cars, i didnt see much of anything run slower then a mid to low 12.

That's actually exactly what I'm saying... these people are staying on domestic sites, but it seems like importsnc wants to be an all-inclusive site. It can't achieve that goal without changing its name.
