    Default T-top Reupholstering

My laptop crashed, so I'm making this thread from my iPhone, so bear with me, please.

Anyway, I've had these crumpled up t-top panels for three years and they've always bugged the hell out of me. *Today I decided to finally try my hand at fixing them rather than spend $200 for new panels. *I'd also be learning more about my car this way.

I've done one today, I'll do the other one tomorrow. *This is what I'm talking about:

    And what I'm using:

    *

I used 150C and 220 grit sandpaper to get rid of the old adhesive. *The top one hasn't been sandpapered yet but the bottom one has:

And here's the finished product. *Granted, there are a few air pockets but they're not noticable in person. *Plus I don't think it's too bad for a first timer! *Besides, if it really bother me, I can always redo it again later:

My Catahoula Leopard Dog, Zoe, hung out with me:

Thanks, Ryan! I forgot to add that to my post. Because the leather had been exposed to moisture, it had shrunk. So to get it to stretch, I used heat, aka a hair dryer.

Update! *I did the other panel today, and the second time around is always better than the first. *This time, there are only two small air bubbles. *I'm definitely redoing the first one at some point in the future.*

    Working on it:

    Applying adhesive:

    It's getting there:

The left one is the first time and the right one is the second time. *Big difference, huh?:

Right now the glue is setting. I'll post pics of them back on the t-tops later.
