What are you looking to spend? A decent system to run those games will probably run about $900 but you could spend a lot more than that on a better pc.

Here's the specs on that system(one that I am about to build for around $900):

AMD Phenom Quad Core Processor 9850 Black Edition(2.5ghz)
    Gigabyte GA-M750SLI-DS4 AM2 + Nforce 750a Motherboard
    4gigs of DDR2 1000mhz Memory
    20x SATA DVDRW
eVGA Nvidia GTX 260 896mb PCI Express Video Card
    500gb SATA2 Hard Drive
    Antec 900 Gaming Case
    550w True Power Supply

This does not include an Operating system but if you are "upgrading" you could use a product key from your old system unless you wanted to pay for an OEM version of XP or Vista which could run you between $100 to $200(Pro, Home Premium, Ultimate, etc).

    lol at alienware.

DO NOT BUY! It's a rebranded Dell XPS!

Make your own. Save money and learn computers. I've taught my girlfriend so I'm sure anyone one here could figure it out.

Would the 1200 include a monitor, keyboard and mouse?

or do you already have that? So the 1200 can be focused on the CPU...

My suggestion is forgo the gaming computer. Get a PS3 or XBox - return COD and get the PS3 or Xbox version. With the PS3 you now have a Blueray player. Then if you still need a computer, get one that is much less then $1200. In the end you will have a new computer and a new video game system and you will be much happier and probably save some cash.
