So I hear this crash late Friday night while at my brothers house off post in Fayettefail. Go outside and see my 1098 which was between my brother's DD E92 M3 and my Explorer(because we just put on the new levers). Dragged down to the end of end driveway. Heard her TC going away. Damage is as follows:

Bent Frame:$3400 from Bologna, Italy
CF Front Fairing: $1,100 from Ducati in Bologna
Right side fork- replacing the set with Ohlins, $2500
Right side mirror: $50
New windscreen: $150
new vortex rear set: $370
right side of handlebar snapped off, with my CRG levers: around $450
New right side fairing: $300

Luckily the fairing and rear set saved my clutch cover

Her new boyfriend is an airman at pope, she's a nurse on base. already got pulled over 3 times by CID and bragg MP's. My brother is CID. So now I'm single. with half a bike. sadface to the max

The insurance company wouldn't total it. That's why I am just now posting this, my plan was for them to total it and I would go buy the white 1198s at Matison's in Raleigh(wait till Zeb gets back of course) as far as court is concerned, happened on a CID agent's property, he's handling it for me because she is a soldier and he is Air Force enlisted, don't know what I am more disappointed about the fact that I lost my baby, the fine, well built, red machine, or my girlfriend.

How is the frame bent? I've Seen bikes hit a car and not bend.

Also if the frame is bent, insurance will total it.....even if it is just scratched.

Same question my brother asked. Adjuster said it would have been cheaper to replace the frame and not total it out

as for how it's bent idk how it would have happened but when it got dragged it must have been around thr frame by the rear right set

Tell me about it man. I got hurt in the State vs. UNC game last fall and knowing my playing career was over wasn't as bad as seeing the bike I worked so hard for and on, down and broken. I can't hit her, that's one thing I won't do. There will be other girls, but I spent 3 years working on that thing making "individual", and this bitch took it all away in 30 seconds.

I can sympathize man, when I got hit and totaled my 05 R1 I was crushed. I paid for it myself at 16, everything I had went into making that bike what it was. It was my world.

All I can do is offer my help if you decide to tear it down and fix what's wrong and re-build it. I don't know what kind of place you have to work on it but I have a heated/air conditioned shop I could probably offer a corner in if you need it. Sorry to hear it

Pics coming tomorrow. I'm at school and don't keep my camera here for obvious reasons. But upon further thought, I am thinking that my Speedymoto frame sliders might have pushed the frame in. It's not a real good thought but the thing went down with enough force to push it in? It did break the throttle right off. My brother races and knows more than I do so when he gets a chance to look at it after WOCS I will know for sure.

I was 17, going to be 21 in December and paid that thing off in a year and a half before I moved down here from Mass. I'm heartbroken. I'm hoping I can find a place to tear it down. if not I appreciate the offer.

Dude I don't know, I know for a fact she has bipolar disorder, and I would literally let her beat the shit out of me so she wouldn't hurt herself. The only trigger I can think of is A) I gained some weight since I stopped playing, I know thats why she broke up with me in the first place, and B) She always said I loved the bike more than her, she is right, but I never thought she was serious when she told me she would fuck it up
