Wait... You stick your foot in an egg beater?

I don't get it. There is obviously a whole lot more to riding a bike than I ever thought.

I guess it is a lot like driving for others.

I forgot there a cleats available for bikers. It's bad enough I can't figure out why golfers have them, but this............... this is just too much.

I'm going to invent driving cleats.

    Nevermind....

    Sleeping cleats.

    XBOX cleats.

Yeah... XBOX cleats. You'll be able to play games more efficiently. "Having trouble with MW3? Strap these suckers on!!!"

The added agility/stability makes them almost mandatory for serious trail riders/racers.

I guess I better design my XBOX pedals to make sitting more stable, while easy to get up and sit down, and to eject/change games efficiently to prevent injury.

I get the stability of the pedal (if that means keeping your foot on the pedal) - but why agility?

Well, hard to explain, however being clipped in makes you one with the bike. Quick switchbacks, fast birms, fast rocky terrain etc. are done with much more ease clipped in. You're able to control the bike so much more from washing out where in comparison if your foot was just resting on the pedal. It helps tremendously.

I think I get it... Like having an actual bucket seat, instead of what Chevrolet calls a seat in a Corvette, helps control the car, when you're still in the seat. Instead of having to manipulate your weight and balance to keep your foot on the pedal, you're using the foot for more control.

New tires today. They cost $10 more per tire than my Falkens did for the Fit. LOL
