    Default GodSpeed Auto Salon

does anybody know anything about this place? it's on Hope Mills Road. I went to their website and was expecting to see a pretty nice place when I went there but when I finally found it, it looks a little run-down and very small. I'm not saying anything bad about the people or the place, but it looks a little shady to me. a guy was walking his dog in my neighborhood the other day while I was outside messing with my 240 and he walked up and wanted to take a look at it so we stood there talking a while. he told me he used to work for this place called GodSpeed Auto Salon on Hope Mills Road and that I should go over there and talk to the guy that runs it and see about getting him to "hook me up" with a turbo because they have some "laying around". he was a pretty nice guy, full of tattoos and big ear rings and a labret piercing...but I just dunno. I finally found the place and the sign on the door said they would be closed on the 13th (Thursday) but would re-open on the 14th...yet nobody was there. I came home and got on their website again to see their business hours and it's 10 am-8 pm Monday-Friday...it was already after 10 am when I was there and there wasn't a soul in sight. I talked to one of the guys working at the brake shop next door and he said they work weird hours. any input?

yeah, there was an Eclipse out there with both windows down and rain just going right in. I also noticed what looked to be a monitor (about a 7 inch or so) in the dash of that Eclipse. there's a few cars parked out back just sitting there, and even a RHD clip or two up against the back of the building.

their website is still functioning and there's a metric shit ton of cars sitting outside for them to have been closed a year ago. there's also a car sitting in the shop but I couldn't tell what it was. looked like an Eclipse but the garage door windows were pretty dark.

that's Ang's shop. I don't know the guy personally, but I'd heard too that he was closing up shop and that most of the cars sitting around are projects that people ran out of money on or just gave up on. He has a really nice 240 and that's mostly what he/they work on there. I don't have any experience with him business-wise, but he's a nice guy. I met him once upon a time out at the old Rack Room meets.

He's on here from time to time, but not like he used to. Maybe he'll see this and chime in for himself.

awesome. I'd definitely LOVE to find out anything I can about this place...and if he/they can get me any parts that I need. I saw the red 240 (s14) outside that's on the website. looks like with a little love it would be a sick car.

ang's a pretty cool dude...but dont expect to get anything "cheap" haha even tho he is closing the shop down he's not desperate....and most of the cars there were the ones broken into a while back that people never came to get......hes about to start crushing them so i would ask about grabbing some parts ASAP....and yes he has a shit ton of sr turbos...a few rb turbos....1 or 2 aftermarket turbos.....few motor swaps and a few body kits up in the loft....plus like 2 strawberry conv.

well if he's going to be closing down, I'm sure he'll be willing to get rid of stuff...but how am I supposed to contact him? I've called all day and been to the place two or three times today alone.

You will have to keep going by there.. It is a hit and miss with that shop.. I have been threw there a few times and Ang is an allright guy.. But even though he has been talking about shutting down the shop you wont get it cheap there..

If y ou need a turbo new or used search other forums and I know there is a few people on here that should have a few extra T25 or 28's.. But if you wanna save some money I would look around some more..

Ang installed my exhaust for me. He went out his way to and drove around town to get the flanges free of charge. Then also, I've heard horror stories.

I decided to ride back by there on my way home from getting lunch and what do you know, the shop was open! I stopped in but the guy that was there said Ang was at lunch and would be back in about an hour or so, and that any turbos they would have at the shop would be junk (but he said Ang may have something at his house so I'd just have to talk to him and see). not much progress, but at least I caught them while somebody was there. haha.
