    i have a 1992 honda civic lx 4door want to swap the auto to 5speed
    what all is needed

    trannie, the whole pedal assembly, flywheel,pressure plate, throw out bearing, the slave cylinder and the hydrolic lines, the clutch master cylinder,
    i am not really sure if u have to change the ecu but u might and not sure on the axels but i think the only thing u will have to wire in is the backup light switch.

    It says auto civic or crx to manual, so I'm pretty sure this applies to older civics.

    wouldn't it be cheaper to just go ahead and get a five speed???
    thats what i would do unless i got alot of parts car i can get
    the parts form

    Yeah I thought of switching mine to automatic and putting a new engine in it, but it started looking too expensive.

    hondas are a dime a dozen, save yourself the headache and the cost of parts/paying labour (unless you can diy) and just buy a 5spd car and transfer mods

    well my dad is a mechanic by trade... he's being workin on cars all of his life... he knows just about everything u need to know to make a tranny swap... but he told me to ask yall what are some of the nessecary parts are
